Mexico Plays Golf: OHL Mayakoba – PGA Tour
The PGA TOUR has seen born the most acclaimed stars in the history of golf. Back in 2007, this important American organization decided to organize for the first time a tournament outside the United States and Canada. It was Mexico the chosen country for this purpose, and specifically the Mayakoba Complex in the Riviera Maya.
A decade has been enough for the OHL Classic Mayakoba to position itself as the favorite championship among the PGA Tour participants. We are entirely sure that the main reasons for this positive consideration are the paradisiac environment, the excellent warm Mexican attention, and the spectacular facilities.
Golf is Helping
The OHL Classic at Mayakoba, apart from being a very successful event, it’s also an enterprise genuinely interested in the wellness of the communities of its surroundings. That is why it is strongly committed to supporting different social and environmental causes. All along its history, the OHL Classic Mayakoba has donated more than $2.2 million to charity.
This year, The whole Riviera Maya is ready to host its most cherished guests: PGA Tour participants and attendees. The 2017 edition will take place, as always, at the Camaleón Golf Club Mayakoba, from the 6th to the 12th of November, introducing 132 professional golf players who will play four rounds. The OHL Classic at Mayakoba is the only Latin American professional championship that awards the champion with an invitation to play in the Masters Championship. Moreover, with a $7,100,000 US stock, OHL Classic at Mayakoba offers more prizes than any other golf championship in Latin America.
On November 7th, after the official inauguration ceremony, an exclusive welcome party will take place in the luxury Rosewood Mayakoba. Besides, during the championship, several activities will happen, as the Beer Festival, the Taco Dinner and FoodTrucks Day. It is also important to mention that this OHL Classic Mayakoba edition will be broadcasted live by ESPN and Golf Channel Latin America.
